Infection Control In Healthcare Personnel: New Draft Guidance From CDC.

Legal Eagle Eye Newsletter for the Nursing Profession

November 2018

On October 15, 2018 the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced a draft document titled Infection Control in Healthcare Personnel: Infrastructure and Routine Practices for Occupational Infection Prevention and Control Services.

The CDC stressed that the document in draft form, and once it is finalized, is not a government regulation and does not impose any legal obligations or confer any legal rights.  The draft guidance document only outlines the CDC’s most current information on the subject and is merely advisory.
